AI in your rear derailleur with Shimano Q’AUTO

Shimano’s new Q’AUTO system brings automatic, wireless shifting to non-electric bikes, with no battery or charging needed! How could that be possible you may ask? It uses a dynamo-powered freehub to generate power while riding, storing it in a small capacitor. The system then senses your speed, cadence, along other parameters to automatically shift gears, while still allowing manual overrides.
